How to Book a Hair Salon in Korea in English
Choose the salon and branch, then check the treatment and stylist before selecting an appointment time. For supported Naver Booking salons, NOpenBook lets you request an appointment in English with Google sign-in and an international phone number. Check the salon's service and language arrangements before your visit.
What to check before you book
- The exact salon branch and, if offered, the stylist you want.
- The treatment you need: haircut, color, perm or another listed service.
- Your preferred date and enough time in your itinerary for the treatment.
- The displayed price and whether hair length, treatment options or a consultation may change it.
Choose the treatment, not just a free time slot
Open the salon's reservation options and read the service descriptions. Choose the treatment you actually want, along with the stylist and options where available. A haircut appointment should not be used to request a different treatment that needs more time.
If your preferred treatment is missing or the description is unclear, check with the salon before submitting. A note on a reservation request does not guarantee that an unlisted treatment can be added.
Does booking in English mean the stylist speaks English?
No. NOpenBook provides an English booking-request flow; it does not certify the salon's spoken languages. Confirm language support with the salon if you need an English consultation.
Prepare reference photos and a clear description of the result you want for your consultation. Ask the salon to confirm the treatment, expected duration and final price before it begins. Booking information is not a substitute for the stylist's assessment.
Can tourists book a Korean salon without a Korean number?
NOpenBook accepts international phone numbers for supported salon requests. Browse the place page without an account, then sign in with Google when you are ready to request. Provide a reachable number and check your confirmation email and My bookings.
If the salon is not listed, bring its Naver Map link to the place lookup. The place and its reservation options still need to be supported. If it uses a different booking channel, follow the salon's official instructions.
How to request through NOpenBook
NOpenBook is an independent service for English booking requests at supported Korean places. You can read these guides and browse places without signing in.
- Open the place page and check its reservation options, or use its Naver Map link to find it.
- Sign in with Google, select the service and any options, then choose an available date, time and participant count where required. Times are local to Korea.
- Review the displayed costs and any Booking Credit requirement. Enter the visitor details, including a reachable international phone number and confirmation email.
- Review the required consent to share reservation details with the selected store and Naver Booking, then send the request.
- Check My Bookings for the result. Your reservation is booked only when its status is confirmed.
If a request is still being processed, check its status before trying again. Sending another request may create a duplicate booking.
Frequently asked questions
Can I book a haircut in Seoul before I arrive?
You can request a supported future appointment when its date and time are available. Check the branch address and Korean local time against your travel plans, and wait for a confirmed status before treating the appointment as booked.
Can I book a Korean hair stylist I found on Instagram?
Yes. If the stylist's salon offers a supported Naver Booking service, you can request an appointment through NOpenBook. Find the salon and branch from the stylist's official Instagram profile, then search it or paste its Naver Map link. Choose your stylist and treatment from the available booking options. If your stylist is not listed, check with the salon before requesting.
Can I book a Korean salon if I do not speak Korean?
Yes. You can request a salon appointment in English through NOpenBook without speaking Korean or having your own Naver account. Find a salon with a supported Naver Booking service, sign in with Google and use a reachable international phone number. For the visit itself, check the salon's consultation language and bring reference photos.
Is the salon treatment included in the booking fee?
No. Any NOpenBook Booking Credit requirement covers the reservation-request service. The haircut or treatment is charged separately under the salon's own terms.
Do I need to sign in?
You can browse without an account. Google sign-in and consent to share your reservation details with the selected store and Naver Booking are required to submit a request.
Will I need a Booking Credit?
An eligible store operator's remaining daily booking allowance covers the request first. Otherwise, you need 1 Booking Credit and must agree to use it. A Booking Credit does not pay for the store's meal or service.
When is my reservation confirmed?
Submitting a booking request does not guarantee a reservation. Dates, times, party sizes, and payment requirements depend on the selected service. Check My Bookings and wait for the status to change to confirmed before treating the reservation as booked.
Official booking guidance
Naver explains that booking links appear for businesses using its booking service, and that a pending request is not a confirmed reservation. Its Passport Verification announcement describes a direct route for foreign visitors without a Korean mobile number. Individual services and payment requirements still vary.
